Pakistan's legendary singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan broke his silence regarding his arrest in India for the first time after almost eleven years.
In an interview given to private TV, when Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was asked about his arrest in New Delhi in 2011, he replied, "I was not informed about Indian laws regarding carrying foreign currency abroad." There was no knowledge.
He said that the government of Pakistan helped a lot after my arrest in India and it was because of their actions that I got clearance in Syria.
It should be noted that in 2011, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was stopped and arrested at the airport of the Indian capital for carrying more than the prescribed amount of foreign currency in cash.
